The Flashback is a fun story about a group of friends hanging out on a weekend and reminiscing on old times, when one of them starts experiencing serious physical and mental effects from the flashbacks of these stories his friends are telling.
Behind the scenes of The Flashback
We shot "The Flashback" in one day in the middle of Hollywood, California. As glamorous as that might sound, we’re a young run-and-gun crew that makes the most of what we have access to. Since money and resources are limited, it’s important that we capture as much as possible and that we move as quickly and efficiently as possible. That’s why we try to shoot each scene from multiple angles to ensure that we can capture as much coverage as we can in a short period of time. We’re lucky to have access to several low profile cameras and two fantastic Rode microphones (the NTG2 Shotgun and the Video Mic Pro) which helped us get superb video and audio coverage while remaining low profile and agile. The recent advance in camera and audio technology has made it possible that amateur filmmakers like us can create quality films at a fraction of the price that it would have cost us even ten years ago. Filmmaking is my passion, and I’m lucky enough to have a talented group of friends with similar passions, and access to the right gear to help bring my creative visions to life.
